Episode 1
"The New Housekeeper"
Sheriff Taylor's maid (Rose)
gets married so Andy asks Aunt Bee to move to Mayberry and help him raise
his son Opie. Aunt Bee does things different than Rose did so Opie resists
accepting her.
Episode 2 "The Manhunt"
State Troopers come to Mayberry to
capture an escaped convict. Andy captures the convict proving that he is
not the country bumpkin that the Troopers thought he was.
Episode 3 "The Guitar Player"
Andy helps a
local guitar player get a job by arresting members of "Bobby Fleet and His
Band with a Beat" and making them listen to him play.
Episode 4 "Runaway Kid"
Opie invites a runaway
into the Taylor house. Andy teaches Opie a lesson about keeping his word.
Episode 5 "Opie's Charity"
Andy tries to teach
Opie a lesson about giving when he thinks that Opie only gave 3 cents to a
local charity. Later Andy finds out that Opie was saving to buy his
girlfriend a winter coat that her family could not afford.
Episode 6 "Ellie Comes to Town"
Ellie May Walker arrives in town to help her uncle with the pharmacy. She
has to learn to adapt to Mayberry's strange ways.
Episode 7 "Irresistible Andy"
Andy thinks Ellie
is out to trap him into marriage.
Episode 8 "A Feud is a Feud"
Andy must settle
the "Romeo and Juliet" dispute between two mountain families when the son
from one and the daughter of the other show up at his home.
Episode 9 "Andy the Matchmaker"
Andy plays
matchmaker and sets up Barney with Miss Rosemary.
Episode 10 "Stranger in Town"
A stranger
appears in town and seems to be strangely familiar with the town and its
citizens.
Episode 11 "The Christmas Story"
Andy is forced
to arrest the Muggins family on Christmas by the town scrooge. The town
scrooge, Ben Weaver comes around and gets himself arrested to bring
presents to the family.
Episode 12 "Ellie for Council"
Ellie attempts
to become the first woman elected to the town council. Andy supports Ellie
after hearing Opie repeat his own anti woman views.
Episode 13 "Mayberry Goes Hollywood"
A
Hollywood producer visits Mayberry and decides to put the town in a movie.
Episode 14 "The Horse Trader"
Andy sells the town cannon to an
antique dealer by making up a story. He sees his actions repeated by Opie
and corrects his ways.
Episode 15 "Those Gossipsin' Men"
The men of
Mayberry are convinced that a shoe salesman is a talent scout for the show
"Manhattan Show Time."
Episode 16 "Andy Saves Barney's Morale"
Andy
leaves town and Barney is made acting sheriff. When Andy returns, he finds
that Barney has jailed 20 of Mayberry's most respected citizens.
Episode 17 "Alcohol and Old Lace"
Two old
ladies are discovered to be running a still after they helped Andy and
Barney pu their competition out of business.
Episode 18 "Andy the Marriage Counselor"
Andy
mediates for a married couple.
Episode 19 "Mayberry on Record"
A record
producer passes through town and is convinced to produce a record of local
artists. Andy falsely thinks that the producer has conned town people who
invested in the record.
Episode 20 "The Beauty Contest"
Andy is asked
to judge the Founders Day beauty contest. Towns people try to persuade him
to vote their way and Andy ultimately votes for an older more charitable
woman. |
