Episode 21 "Andy and the Gentleman Crook"
Sheriff Taylor is the only one in town not taken in by the
charm of Gentleman Dan Caldwell, a con artist.
Episode 22 "Cyrano Andy"
Andy is caught in the
middle of a fight between Barney and Thelma Lou.
Episode 23 "Andy and Opie Housekeepers"
The
house becomes a mess after Aunt Bee leaves town. Andy gets a friend of
Aunt Bee to clean up the house and then has Opie mess it up so Aunt Bee
will feel needed.
Episode 24 "The New Doctor"
Barney convinces
Andy that the new doctor in town is going to marry Ellie. Andy tries to
beat him to the punch.
Episode 25 "Plaque for Mayberry"
It is
discovered that a revolutionary war hero has a descendent in Mayberry.
Episode 26 "The Inspector"
A state inspector
visits town and threatens to remove Andy before seeing him in action on a
call.
Episode 27 "Ellie Saves a Female"
Ellie turns a
local farmers daughter from a tomboy into a beauty.
Episode 28 "Andy Forecloses"
Ben Weaver tries
to have Andy evict a struggling family but has a change of heart after
some reverse psychology from Sheriff Taylor.
Episode 29 "Quiet Sam"
Barney thinks that an
odd farmer is crooked. Andy ends up delivering the farmers wife's first
child.
Episode 30 "Barney Gets His Man"
Barney
accidently catches a criminal who then promises revenge. When the criminal
escapes, Andy recaptures the convict.
Episode 31 "The Guitar Player Returns"
Local
hero Jim Lindsey returns but Andy finds out that he is not the big success
he claims to be.
Episode 32 "Bringing up Opie"
Aunt Bee believes
that Andy's place of work is negatively affecting Opie and bans Opie from
hanging out by the courthouse. After Opie wanders off to another town, Bee
changes her mind.
Episode 33 "Barney's Replacements"
Barney quits
his job to become a vacuum salesman thinking that Andy is out to replace
him. Andy tricks him into rejoining the force.
Episode 34 "Opie and the Bully"
Opie faces off
with a local bully who wants to steal his lunch money.
Episode 35 "Andy and the Woman Speeder"
Andy
arrests a city woman for speeding. The woman uses charm to turn the town
against Andy.
Episode 36 "Barney on the Rebound"
Barney dates
a new girl in town who turns out to be a con artist.
Episode 37 "The Perfect Female"
Andy goes on a
blind date with Thelma Lou's cousin who ends up not being the average
delicate female.
Episode 38 "Aunt Bee's Brief Encounter"
Aunt
Bee starts a relationship with a traveling handyman named Henry Wheeler.
Wheeler is not as nice as he seems to Aunt Bee and Andy convinces him to
leave town.
Episode 39 "Mayberry Goes Bankrupt"
A local man
is found to hold a bond worth enough money to bankrupt the town. After the
town tries to keep him happy, it turns out that the bond is worthless.
Episode 40 "Opie's Hobo Friend"
Opie forms a
relationship with a Hobo. The Hobo, David Browne, gets himself arrested to
prove to Opie thet he was not that great of a man. |
