Episode 141 "The Checks"
Jerry receives hundreds of 12 cent royalty checks from a Japanese TV
appearance. George hires carpet cleaners who are a front for a religious
cult. He tries to be converted but they don't want him. Elaine's new
boyfriend is obsessed with "Desperado" the song and she tries to think of
a theme song. Kramer houses some Japanese business men at lets them
sleep in a chest of drawers.
Episode 142 "The Chicken Roaster" Kenny Rogers Roasters
opens in the neighborhood and the restaurants large neon sign is shining
into Kramer's apartment. Jerry talks a friend into missing a meeting and
gets him fired. The friend becomes a manager of the chicken roaster
restaurant. Kramer and Jerry switch apartments so Kramer can sleep
and they seem to switch personalities. Jerry switches back apartments when
he finds Kramer eating the chicken.
Episode 143 "The Abstinence" Because of mono, George
can't have sex with his girlfriend for 6 weeks. Elaine stops having sex
with her boyfriend so that he can pass his medical test. George gets
smarter without sex and Elaine gets dumber. Kramer has a lawsuit against
the tobacco industry.
Episode 144 "The Andrea Doria" George is ready to move
into a new apartment but the apartment board gives it to an old man
instead because he is an Andrea Doria survivor. He tries to get even by
telling the tragic story of his life. Elaine is dating a man who keeps
having bad run ins with ex girlfriends. Turns out he is a bad breaker
upper. She breaks up with him and he tells her that she has a big head.
She laughs at the comment but it eventually gets the best of her.
Episode 145 "The Little Jerry" Kramer gets a pet rooster
that he names Little Jerry Seinfeld. A bad check of Jerry's is on display
at a neighborhood store. The store owner will take the check down if
Little Jerry wins a cockfight so Kramer and Jerry begin training Little
Jerry. The store owner brings in a pro to fight Little Jerry and Kramer
must save him.
Episode 146 "The Money"
George and Jerry ponder how much money their parents might have
stashed away. George thinks he will be getting a large inheritance but
then his parents start spending money, fast. Jerry's parents sell the
Cadillac to give Jerry money that he doesn't need. Jerry flies to Florida
to buy back the car. Elaine gets Morty a job with Peterman and then must
drive him out by scheduling a late meeting.
Episode 147 "The Comeback" George can't think of a
comeback to a comment made by Reilly until it is too late. He comes up
with what he considers is a good comeback and eventually gets to use it.
Jerry buys a tennis racket from someone he thinks is a professional. He
finds out that he is a horrible player and the tennis pro tries to bribe
Jerry to keep him quiet. Elaine becomes fascinated with Vincent, a video
store employee who has a recommended videos section.
Episode 148 "The Van Buren Boys" Kramer gets in to a
confrontation with the Van Buren Boys. By mistake he flashes their gang
symbol and they let him go. George interviews contestants for his
foundation scholarship and he finds someone just like him. Elaine is
writing Peterman's biography and realizes that his life is too boring to
write about. He buys Kramer's stories for his book. Jerry is dating a
woman that he loves but nobody else likes and he can't figure out why
until he introduces her to his parents.
Episode 149 "The Susie" A coworker of Elaine starts
calling her Susie. She and Susie get into a fight and Peterman wants to
see her, Susie and Elaine in his office. They might just have to
kill Susie. George is looking to show off his new girlfriend at a company
ball but she wants to talk. He tries to avoid her to avoid a breakup.
Jerry makes a bet with a bookie who can't pay him and inadvertently roughs
him up.
Episode 150 "The Pothole" George loses his keys in a
pothole that has been filled and goes about trying to recover them. Jerry
drops his girlfriends toothbrush in the toilet and she then uses it. He
tries to figure out how to sterilize his girlfriend but just can't get
past it. Kramer adopts a section of highway and wants wide lanes. Elaine
moves into a Janitors closet in order to get Chinese food.
Episode 151 "The English Patient" Elaine and her
boyfriend see "The English Patient". She hates it and that makes her very
unpopular and gets her dumped by her boyfriend. Jerry meets a competitive
old man named Izzy who challenges Jerry to a weight lifting contest and
hurts his back. Jerry visits him in the hospital and meets his whole
competitive family who try to compete with him. "It's go time." An
attractive woman mistakes George for her boyfriend and he tries to move
in.
Episode 152 "The Nap" George finds that the best place to
nap at work is under his desk. Jerry is having cabinets installed in his
kitchen by an indecisive carpenter who gets on his nerves. George hires
the carpenter to make some modifications to his desk to make it better for
sleeping under, including a shelf for his alarm clock. Kramer begins
swimming in the polluted East River and starts a trend.
Episode 153 "The Yada Yada" A girlfriend of George uses
the phrase "yada, yada" to skip over details in a conversation. He finally
gets her to fill in the details and finds out that she isn't the person he
thought she was. Jerry's dentist becomes Jewish and starts making Jewish
jokes. Jerry thinks he converted just for the jokes. Jerry makes a joke
about dentists and gets accused of being an 'anti-dentite'.
Episode 154 "The Millennium"
Kramer and Newman both plan for New Years parties on the
millennium, 2 years from now. George gets offered a job as director of
scouting for the Mets. In order to take it he must first get fired from
the Yankees. All of his attempts to get fired only earn him praise. Elaine
has a conflict with a clothing store where she got poor service and Jerry
gets in the middle of a speed dial fight between his girlfriend and her
mother.
Episode 155 "The Muffin Tops" Mr. Lippman, Elaine's
former boss steals her idea to open a store selling just the top of
muffins. George watches a tourist's bag and when the tourist never comes
back to claim it he begins wearing his clothes. Posing as a tourist, he
meets a woman from the tourist bureau. Kramer starts giving tours as the
real Peterman. Jerry has a problem with shaving his chest. and George gets
traded from the Yankees for some chicken.
Episode 156 "The Sumer of George" George gets a 3 months
severance package from the Yankees. He decides to take the summer off.
Jerry and Kramer go to the Tony awards. Jerry has a seat and Kramer is
going as a seat filler. Kramer accidentally receives a Tony award and to
keep it he must fire Raquel Welch who the producers are afraid of. George
and Jerry team up to handle his busy girlfriend who is too much for one
guy. While delivering invitations, George slips on one and ends up in the
hospital, ruining the summer of George.
Episode 157 "The Butter Shave" Kramer decides that butter
works better than shaving cream. His skin feels so good that he uses it
all over his body and even sunbathes in it. He gets a burn and Newman
can't resist the smell of cooked Kramer. Jerry decides that Bania, the man
who follows him on stage is riding his coattails so he makes himself bomb
to prove it. George gets a job because he appears to be handicapped, he is
still using his cane recovering from the "Summer of George."
Episode 158 "The Voice" Jerry makes a joke about his
girlfriends stomach talking. The belly button is the mouth and the noises
it makes is "The Voice". George's employer tries to get rid of him since
they now know that e was faking being handicapped. George makes them honor
his contract by showing up for work no matter what obstacles they put in
his way. Kramer gets an intern and they test out his ideas including a
bladder system for oil tankers.
Episode 159 "The Serenity Now" George's father must say
"Serenity Now" whenever he gets stressed. Jerry's girlfriend says that she
has never seen him angry and gets him to release his emotions, all of his
emotions. George competes with Lloyd Braun for the top sales position in
his father's computer company. Kramer installs a screen door on his
apartment and fights with the neighborhood kids. Elaine has "shiksappeal"
and tempts the Lippmann men into quitting their religion.
Episode 160 "The Blood" Jerry gets a transfusion of
Kramer's blood after an accident with a knife. George tries to improve his
sex life by adding television and food. Jerry's parents buy him personal
training sessions with Izzy and Elaine tries to prove she is responsible
to her friend Vivian. |
